The high country of California saw 12-24″ inches of snow in the past 24 hours and that was enough to close the mountain passes Tioga, Monitor and Sonora. They’ve all been closed since yesterday morning.
There is a chance that Tioga and Sonora passes may remain closed for the winter season. Monitor will reopen once they get the road cleared.
